Accounting Operations responsibilities include:
- Overseeing and maintaining general budget and plant funds,
including setting up and closing PTAs, recording cost transfers, fund
transfers, usages, journal entries, and budget reallocations
- Financial reporting on ASCIT and auxiliaries, including Campus
Life, Athenaeum, IRC, and Palomar
- Preparation and/or tracking of general ledger and account
reconciliations
- Performing monthly close in conjunction with IMSS
- Managing unclaimed property, including reporting to the State
and sending notifications to individuals
- Monitoring commercial accounts, including generating invoices
and tracking cash receipts
- Overseeing miscellaneous sales and services accounts and Other
Activities Internal Collaboration (OAIC) accounts
- Tracking returned checks, including notifying departments of
returned checks and assisting in enforcing policy
- Various other projects, as needed
