PAYROLL FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
I was just hired, when will I receive my first paycheck?
Your Payroll Check will be mailed to your local residence address that you have entered in your access.caltech.edu account. Please make sure this address is updated at all times.
Where can I get a list of my pay days?
Campus pay days are listed on the Annual Payroll Calendar on the Information & Resources tab.

I would like to adjust my taxes withheld. How should I do that?
You can submit a new Federal W-4 , CA DE-4 state withholding form, or other State W-4 form to payroll. The form will be processed and included in the subsequent pay cycle.
Remember – completed withholding forms containing personal information should NOT be emailed. Please use one of the following methods of delivery:

Can I sign up for Direct Deposit?
Yes. Direct deposit forms are in the Human Resources Department. Please contact HR-Records department at (626)395-3300 for more information related to direct deposit.
I have direct deposit, where can I view or print my pay slip?
You can view your electronic pay slip by logging into your Access.Caltech.edu account. The Electronic Pay slip is under the Self Service Online Applications.
My bank account was closed. What should I do?
Please contact HR-Records department at (626)395-3300 to terminate the old account information.
I lost my paycheck/never received my paycheck in the mail. What should I do?
Please contact Payroll Services immediately if you have lost your paycheck to request a Stop Pay.
I think there are hours missing from my paycheck. What should I do?
First, please contact your supervisor. Your supervisor and the PAM for your department or division will work together to review the timecard and ensure the correct number of hours are paid. If adjustments need to be submitted to Payroll, the PAM will work with Payroll to complete the process and ensure you are paid correctly for all hours worked.
