**CONTROLLER'S OFFICE CLOSING MEMO FY2024**

Welcome to the Controller's Office! Our group aims to steward the Institute's financial resources effectively by providing high-quality financial information and outstanding service to the Caltech community.

We serve the Institute through our five teams, which focus on the following areas:

Accounting & Reporting

Annual financial reporting for Institute and management reporting. Supports Auxiliary operations, oversees general ledger account reconciliation process and monthly and yearly fiscal period closing.

Bursar's Office (Student Accounts)

Billing and collecting tuition, fees, refunds, emergency loans and servicing student accounts.

Financial Assets Accounting

Cash, investments, trust and annuity agreements.

Fund Accounting

General budget fund, plant funds, endowment, gift, grant, and other activities accounts.

General Accounting and Plant Fund

Monthly close, account reconciliations, auxiliary financial reporting, general budget and plant funds, and fixed asset reporting.

Payroll Services

Tax Office

All tax reporting, planning, and research.
